A seven-board Redwood face defines this composite privacy fence in a nominal 6 × 3.5 ft size. The horizontal layout brings a wood grain finish to the low panel, with Private Black metal framing around the infill.

Redwood boards combine wood fibers and recycled plastic in a wood plastic composite core. A protective PE wrap helps the boards resist moisture, fading and decay. The tongue-and-groove edges join into a closed face, so there is no open space between boards. The ½-inch clearance sits below the fence.

For In-Ground fence installation, galvanized steel posts support the section and aluminum rails frame the board stack. The drawing gives a 43-inch fence height and 45-inch above-ground post height. Compare this fence style in the horizontal composite fence collection, then use this section’s engineering measurements and component shares for your layout.

    • Seven Redwood boards join across the closed horizontal infill.
    • The seven-board Redwood stack uses composite designed for moisture resistance.
    • Private Black galvanized steel posts support the aluminum rails.
    • Routine Redwood upkeep needs no repeated staining, sealing or repainting.
  • Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):

    • Structural defects in Redwood boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
    • Covered Redwood board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
    • Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
    • Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
    • Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.

For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.

Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.

Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.

Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.

For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.

Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.

We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Email service@mymodernyard.com with purchase records, photos, product details and the issue. Expect a decision or next steps within 7–14 business days. Contact Modern Yard for full warranty terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each pack contains four boards, so one section uses a 1.75-pack material share. Starting without spare boards, two whole packs supply an isolated panel. When purchasing multiple fence panels, add all Redwood demand first and round the combined total to whole packs. Posts and the horizontal rail set are separate products.

It describes the closed board joints across the infill. The nominal 3.5 ft section has a drawing height of 43 inches; it does not screen views above the panel. The opening beneath the fence is a separate ½-inch ground clearance.

One 114-inch stock post can provide two short installed posts for this layout. Splitting it requires one extra cap per stock post, after accounting for supplied caps and spares. Adjacent sections share installed posts, but an isolated bay needs two. Count free-standing ends separately and use the listed 11-inch burial depth for this configuration.
