Explore Our Privacy Fence Systems
Compare horizontal steel, corrugated metal, and horizontal or vertical composite systems for your preferred privacy and appearance.
Choose How Much You Want to Screen
Start with the view from your patio, path, or shared boundary. A solid surface and a spaced layout answer different needs.
Full Privacy
Choose continuous infill to screen ground-level views around dining, seating, or neighboring yards. Corrugated metal and composite systems offer distinct solid surfaces. LINE also has a full-privacy configuration. Select the matching gate so the entrance supports the same screening goal.

Semi-Privacy
LINE steel slats can use a supported spaced arrangement to leave views between the rows. This creates a more open boundary. Choose its semi-privacy hardware rather than assuming that every board system can use the same spacing.
The profile and finish affect your design; the selected system determines which supporting parts belong with the infill.
Compare the Materials Behind the Look
LINE Horizontal Steel Slats
Powder coated horizontal steel rows give the boundary a repeated linear pattern. Full-privacy and semi-privacy layouts use their corresponding hardware. Choose the arrangement first so the slat count and connections match the planned section.
Wood-Look Composite Boards
Redwood, Teak, and Charcoal boards pair a wood-look surface with steel posts and compatible rails. Horizontal and vertical systems use different connections. The boards need no routine staining, painting, or sealing, while cleaning remains part of their care.
Corrugated Metal Panels
Interlocking corrugated steel panels form a continuous surface with a defined vertical pattern. Choose this metal fence for a textured boundary. The complete system supplies the design framework for posts, rails, and connections.

Steel Posts for Your Own Wood
Planning a real wood privacy fence? Modern Yard supplies steel fence posts and matching parts; you supply the wood fencing. Four groove-size configurations are available: 3/4 inch with a rubber strip, 1 inch with LINE spring-action parts and EVA, the post's 1-1/8-inch groove, or 1-1/2 inches with the timber-sleeper adapter. These are separate configurations, not four grooves in a bare post.

Privacy Fence Ideas for Everyday Outdoor Use
Your fence style can improve curb appeal and the spaces you use. Mark the screening goal for each run instead of giving every side of the yard the same treatment.
Patio and Dining
Check neighboring paths and windows from seated and standing positions. Put solid screening where it improves the space, while keeping your own access route clear.
Garden and Side Yard
Balance enclosure with the views you want to retain. Allow room for bins, tools, and maintenance access when locating a gate beside a narrow passage.
Slopes and Raised Areas
Show changes in level on your plan. A higher neighboring patio can affect privacy even when fence height stays the same along your side.
Turn the Layout Into a Parts Plan
Use actual system dimensions and entrance requirements to move from a preferred look to an orderable fence layout.
