Explore Double Gate Configurations
Choose the supported frame-and-infill arrangement, then check both leaves, the center closing point, and surrounding fence.
Use Two Leaves with a Clear Access Plan
Decide how the entrance will work before choosing the final opening and hardware.
One Leaf for Everyday Trips
Choose an active leaf for routine access. Allow space to operate the handle and pass through with the items you use daily. Check the remaining clear passage after hardware is fitted.

Both Leaves for Larger Items
Opening both leaves can make room for garden equipment and larger items. Check the full swing of each leaf and the overhead clearance as well as the width.
Keep the appearance consistent while using the details for the chosen double gate system.
Coordinate the Infill Across Both Leaves

Composite Privacy
Compare Redwood, Teak, and Charcoal. Coordinate the board direction and top line with the neighboring composite fence, then follow the selected gate assembly details.

Metal Infill
Review the supported metal arrangement for the selected double gate. Match the profile and finish to the fence and use the corresponding frame and connection details.

Customer-Supplied Wood
Provide the actual board dimensions, layout, and finished infill weight for review. A metal frame does not make every timber layout suitable for a double gate.
The Documented Six-Foot Composite Configuration
The specific six-foot composite double gate uses two 71-by-42-inch frames, two 114-inch posts, six hinges, and a top crossbeam. Review that complete drawing before ordering. These quantities describe that configuration; they are not a universal recipe for every opening or infill. The crossbeam must also fit the intended overhead clearance.

Plan the Center Closing Point
The meeting point between two leaves needs a coordinated handle, lock, and passive-leaf support.
Active Leaf
Choose the leaf used for routine entry and place the lock for practical operation from the required side.
Passive Leaf
The drop rod helps hold the other leaf in position. Confirm its receiving point and clearance before finalizing the layout.
Double-Gate Handle Set
The listed handle and drop-rod set is brushed 304 stainless steel. It fits compatible Modern Yard double gate systems, not single gates.
Check the Complete Opening and Hardware
Use the actual drawing to coordinate both leaves, supporting posts, and the space around the entrance.
