Six Redwood boards and a single Charcoal board define this two-color composite privacy fence. The low horizontal section measures a nominal 6 ft wide × 3.5 ft high, with Private Black posts and rails surrounding the joined infill.

The two colors share a wood grain surface and wood plastic composite construction. Redwood boards include a blend of wood fibers and recycled plastic, protected by a PE outer wrap. That wrap helps the Redwood boards resist moisture, fading and decay. The Charcoal accent is also a composite board.

Galvanized steel fence posts provide In-Ground support, while aluminum rails hold the horizontal stack. Full privacy means closed joints between boards; the ½-inch clearance remains below the panel. Explore horizontal composite fence panels for the wider collection, and retain this item’s six-to-one color mix when calculating the order.

    • Six Redwood boards and one Charcoal board make a closed horizontal panel with two composite colors.
    • Wood-grain surfaces carry the wood look across both the Redwood and Charcoal portions.
    • The two composite board colors need no regular coats of paint, stain or sealer.
    • Galvanized steel posts set into the ground support the mixed-color section.
  • Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):

    • Structural defects in Charcoal and Redwood boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
    • Covered Charcoal and Redwood board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
    • Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
    • Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
    • Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.

For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.

Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.

Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.

Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.

For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.

Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.

We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Email service@mymodernyard.com with purchase records, photos, product details and the issue. Expect a decision or next steps within 7–14 business days. Contact Modern Yard for full warranty terms.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each color is packaged in groups of four boards. Six Redwood boards use 1.5 packs and one Charcoal board uses 0.25 pack as material shares. For one panel without spare stock, purchase two Redwood packs and one Charcoal pack. Across a longer run, combine the total for each color before rounding to full packs.

The specified matching Redwood and Charcoal single gate uses five Redwood boards and one Charcoal board. Its nominal size is 3.5 × 3.5 ft. This is a confirmed pairing with a different board count. Follow the gate’s own opening dimensions and post requirements; the fence’s 11-inch burial depth does not apply to gate posts.

The 0.5-post share comes from splitting a 114-inch stock post into two short installed posts. Each split stock post needs one additional cap beyond its supplied cap, subject to spare inventory. Count shared posts once and include free-standing ends. A panel installed on its own needs two posts, even though the per-bay component list shows one installed-post share.
