Modern Yard™ pairs five Redwood boards with four 1-inch openings in this semi privacy composite fence. The horizontal fence panel is nominally 6 ft wide and 3 ft high. Its separate ½-inch ground gap sits beneath the bottom rail.
The Redwood composite boards blend natural wood fibers with recycled plastic and have a wood-grain surface. They resist moisture and insect damage. Their regular care does not call for painting, staining or sealing; use mild soap, water and a soft brush or cloth on the boards.
Private Black powder-coated galvanized steel posts and aluminum rails frame the spaced rows. The In-Ground configuration uses buried posts. The board-care instructions apply to the composite infill; follow the separate care requirements for metal components.
For a longer run, plan the horizontal composite fence systems and components. Count shared posts once, then add any free-standing end post. Total the Redwood boards and spacers across the project before rounding purchases to whole packs.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Redwood boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Redwood board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes this fence semi privacy?
Four openings separate the five horizontal Redwood boards. Each board-to-board gap is 1 inch. The ½-inch clearance below the bottom rail is a separate engineering dimension. Semi privacy describes the open infill pattern; the nominal 3 ft height identifies this low fence configuration.
Are extra rails used to make each gap?
No. One top rail and one bottom rail enclose the entire board stack. Eight aluminum spacers set the four board gaps, with two spacers in each gap. Eight 1-inch groove covers fill the side post slots at the same four levels.
Do Redwood board packs contain complete fence kits?
Each Redwood pack supplies four boards, so one isolated five-board section needs two packs and leaves three boards spare. Rails, spacers and posts are separate products. For two free-standing supports, cut one 114-inch stock post into two and add one extra cap. In a continuous run, count each shared post once and combine board demand before rounding packs.
