Explore Composite Gate Configurations
Compare board direction, color, and frame options before selecting the complete gate assembly.
Choose the Board Direction
Carry the pattern of your composite fencing system across the entrance using the matching gate layout and connections.
Horizontal Composite Gate
Horizontal boards continue the lines of the adjacent fence. Plan the top line and opening together, then use the cuts and fastening details for the horizontal gate.

Vertical Composite Gate
Vertical boards create an upright pattern through the entry. Follow this layout's assembly details; rotating the boards can change the cuts and connections as well as the look.
Redwood, Teak and Charcoal can coordinate with the fence. Select the color, then plan the movement and connections that a fixed section does not have.
Details That Matter on a Moving Gate

Frame and Infill Fit
Use the board cuts and fixings specified for the selected frame. A fixed fence section's board count does not establish the gate quantity or attachment pattern.

Clearance Through the Swing
Check the whole leaf as it moves past paving, steps and walls. Allow the clearances in the gate guide, including those needed for composite board movement.

A Consistent Closing Point
Position the lock and stop after the frame hangs correctly. The leaf should meet the closing hardware without being lifted, dragged or forced into place.
Plan the Complete Gate Order
List the frame, separate board packs, support posts, lock and mounting parts. The taller frame kit includes three hinges; the shorter kit includes two. Keep the fixed fence and moving gate as separate assemblies on the quote so the connection parts and quantities remain clear.

Match the Frame and Operating Hardware
Choose the frame and moving parts around the actual opening and infill layout.
Two Frame Sizes
The listed frames measure 71 by 42 inches and 42 by 42 inches. Their dimensions are not the finished clear passage through the installed gate.
Hinges Supplied with the Frame
The taller kit has three hinges; the shorter kit has two. Reinforced bearings and a section fitted to the post groove support the connection. They do not close automatically.
A Separately Selected Lock
The mechanical combination lock has a brushed 304 stainless steel exterior and needs no batteries or electrical power. Confirm its fit and whether the quote includes it.
Plan the Opening and Everyday Use
A well-coordinated gate needs room to swing and the correct connections for its board direction.
