Ten horizontal Redwood boards close the infill of this composite privacy fence. Its nominal 6 × 5 ft size combines wood grain with Private Black metal framing. This fence style has no deliberate gaps between board rows, while a ½-inch clearance remains below the section.
The boards blend wood fibers and recycled plastic. Their Redwood surfaces resist moisture, insects, rot and fading with no regular painting, staining or sealing. Galvanized steel posts support the fence, and powder-coated aluminum rails finish the board stack at its top and bottom.
Use the horizontal composite fence system and assembly options to plan your fence project. One section takes ten boards and one rail set. Combine board counts before buying full packs, then count shared posts and free ends across the layout. The drawing gives a 61-inch fence height and 63 inches of post above ground.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Redwood boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Redwood board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do ten boards use 2.5 packs of material?
Each Redwood pack contains four boards. A single section therefore uses two and a half packs of material; three complete packs supply twelve boards and leave two spare. Add the needs of several fence panels before rounding up to whole packs.
What post dimensions apply during fence installation?
This item uses the 98-inch post product, trimmed for the listed layout. The drawing shows 63 inches above ground and 21 below. Count the supports from your project plan: one independent section has two, while consecutive bays share compatible posts.
How does this face differ from the spaced Redwood option?
The ten-board layout closes the spaces between rows. The eight-board Redwood semi-privacy fence has one-inch openings at the same nominal size. Its board count, ground gap and spacing parts have their own material list.
