Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

How should I buy fifteen slats for one separate bay?
Eight full LINE packs provide sixteen slats. Install fifteen and keep one spare. For several sections, add their slat requirements before rounding the total order, rather than purchasing a spare for every bay.
What is supplied by the full-privacy hardware kit?
The kit supplies the connection components and EVA slot insert material for the closed layout. This panel uses two Base Connectors, two L Connectors and four slot strips. The fifteen slats and post products have their own purchase quantities.
How do post quantities change in a connected run?
Adjacent bays share compatible support locations. Count each post once and include the free ends. An independent bay has two posts, while Component Needs assigns one post to a connected bay. Use this item's own above-ground height and embedment when preparing those supports.
