Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the half-inch spaces continue beneath the fence?
Half an inch is the opening between adjacent LINE slats. The drawing specifies a separate 1½-inch ground clearance. Use the listed 72-inch fence height and 74-inch post height, excluding caps, when setting out this Surface Mount section.
What do the eight slat packs include?
Each pack contains two LINE steel slats and their PVC end plugs. Eight packs supply sixteen slats with none left over. Order the semi-privacy hardware and post products separately; the packs do not contain a complete assembled fence panel.
Are the base anchors included in the spacing hardware?
You supply the ground anchors for the welded post bases. The semi-privacy hardware serves the slats: two Base Connectors, thirty Stackable Connectors and two L Connectors per section. Combine those requirements across the run before purchasing whole kits.
