Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

What materials distinguish this from an aluminum fence?
The LINE slats and welded-base posts are galvanized steel. Base and Stackable Connectors are aluminum, and L Connectors are stainless steel. The infill material remains steel even though some connection parts use aluminum.
Should I buy six packs for eleven slats?
For one independent section, six complete packs supply twelve slats. Install eleven and retain the spare. For connected fence panels, combine the required pieces before rounding the full order. The eleven-row pattern and connector counts stay the same.
Which parts connect the fence to the ground?
The posts retain welded base plates, and you supply their ground anchors separately. The spacing connectors hold the slats inside the panel. An isolated bay needs two base-plate posts; a connected run can share compatible supports.
