Nineteen horizontal slats form this seven-foot LINE semi privacy metal fence. Its half-inch openings create a partly open property boundary. The Private Black 8 × 7 ft fence panel has a separate half-inch ground gap. This slat design defines outdoor spaces while allowing partial views through the rows.
Powder coating helps the galvanized steel slats resist corrosion and outdoor wear. Matching steel posts support the rows. Aluminum Base and Stackable Connectors establish the spacing; stainless steel L Connectors finish the top. The straight rows give this fence system clean lines.
For one bay, use two Base Connectors, thirty-six Stackable Connectors and two L Connectors. These parts belong to the separate semi-privacy hardware kit. Combine the required connectors across the order before buying complete kits.
Ten two-slat packs supply nineteen installed rows and one spare. Count all slats in the same order before rounding to whole packs. Two bays need thirty-eight slats, supplied by nineteen packs in one combined order. Whether those bays share a post affects the post count, not the slat-pack total.
The seven-foot drawing calls for an 84-inch fence height and 114-inch posts: 86 inches above ground and 28 below. Include free-end supports when counting a connected run. Compare the metal fence options by opening pattern and mounting type.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.
Email service@mymodernyard.com with purchase records, photos, product details and the issue. Expect a decision or next steps within 7–14 business days. Contact Modern Yard for full warranty terms.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the spare twentieth slat installed in this panel?
Keep the extra slat for later use. This layout specifies nineteen rows with half-inch spaces. Adding a row changes that arrangement.
Can I buy 0.6 of a semi-privacy hardware kit?
The 0.6 set is a material share for this bay, not a separate partial-kit product. Total the installed connector requirements for the project and purchase complete kits. Order slat packs and posts separately.
How many posts support one standalone section?
Use two full posts. Each has 86 inches above ground and 28 below. Connected bays share the post at their joint; two separate bays need four supports. Count every support location once and include the free ends.
