Sixteen horizontal LINE slats create this 8 × 6 ft horizontal metal fence in Private Black. Half-inch openings separate the rows, leaving partial views through the semi-privacy infill. The straight steel pattern brings clean lines to the fence without forming a closed panel.
Material selection matters within this fence system. The LINE slats and posts are galvanized steel with powder coating. The slat finish helps resist corrosion and outdoor wear. Base and Stackable Connectors are aluminum, while the upper L Connectors are stainless steel.
Thirty Stackable Connectors maintain the selected openings between the sixteen slats. Two Base Connectors and two L Connectors complete the listed slat hardware arrangement. The section uses the semi-privacy hardware product, which is separate from the LINE packs and post products.
The In-Ground posts extend 74 inches above ground and 24 below. The drawing places the fence top at 72 inches, with a separate 1½-inch ground gap. Post caps are excluded from the listed post height. Half-inch row spacing and ground clearance describe different parts of the layout.
Eight two-slat packs provide all sixteen pieces, with no spare slat. Count shared posts and free ends across the project before ordering supports. Browse the semi privacy fence collection in steel to compare LINE patterns and their matching components.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is a LINE pack a complete fence panel?
Each pack supplies two individual steel slats and their PVC end plugs. Eight packs provide the sixteen installed slats. Add the post products and semi-privacy hardware separately to assemble the section; the slat packs alone are not a completed bay.
How should I order the half-set of hardware?
The 0.5-set quantity records this section's share of the semi-privacy kit. Combine the required Base, Stackable and L Connectors across the project before selecting whole kits. Component Needs gives the installed counts for this layout, rather than offering a loose half-kit product.
Why does the page list one post per section?
Connected fence sections share posts at their joints, so the quote counts each support location once. Include the free ends when calculating the whole run. An independent bay needs two 98-inch posts, with 74 inches above ground and 24 below for this layout.
