Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the half-inch spacing relate to the fence height?
Half an inch is the clear gap between neighboring slats. The section has a 42-inch drawing height and a separate 2½-inch clearance below. Its listed post height is 44 inches, excluding the cap.
Why is the slat requirement four and a half packs?
Each pack has two LINE slats. Nine installed pieces use 4.5 packs of material; one isolated section therefore needs five whole packs and leaves one slat unused. Combine the requirements of a longer run before rounding the order.
Are the posts aluminum and are anchors supplied?
The welded-base posts are galvanized steel. Aluminum forms the Base and Stackable Connectors in the spacing hardware. Supply ground anchors separately for the post bases, and allow two posts for an independent bay or shared supports in a connected run.
