Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this an aluminum fence or a steel fence?
Steel forms the LINE slats and base-plate posts. The Base and Stackable Connectors are powder-coated aluminum, and the L Connectors are stainless steel. Use the material list to distinguish the infill from its connection parts.
How many posts do I need for one isolated panel?
An independent section needs two base-plate posts. Component Needs assigns one post per connected bay, with free-end supports counted separately. Each post product supplies one installed support; trim its top to the listed height and keep the welded base.
Are ground anchors included in the spacing hardware?
Supply the anchors for the welded bases separately. The semi-privacy kit contains the parts for positioning and connecting the slats. Its installed connector counts do not specify the ground anchor model.
