The Modern Yard™ 74-Inch Steel Post with Welded Base is engineered for fence installations on hard surfaces such as patios and concrete. Made from 16-gauge galvanized steel and finished with UV-resistant electrostatic powder coating, it offers superior resistance to rust, fading, termites, and decay.
The welded 3/8" thick base plate ensures secure anchoring with expansion bolts (required: 1/2" diameter and minimum 3" length) for reliable stability on concrete. Dual groove options—1-1/8" built-in groove or 3/4" groove with the included rubber strip—make this post compatible with Modern Yard’s Horizontal and Vertical Systems.
⚠️ Important: This SKU is not recommended for gate posts. For gates, we strongly advise using in-ground posts with concrete footings to achieve the required strength and stability.
