Fourteen horizontal LINE slats create this Surface Mount metal fence at a nominal 8 × 6 ft size. The nominal 1-inch-gap infill leaves partial views between the Private Black rows. Its open arrangement gives the fence panel a semi-privacy pattern.
The slats are galvanized steel with a powder-coated finish that helps resist corrosion and outdoor wear. Aluminum Base and Stackable Connectors hold the spaced layout. Stainless steel L Connectors complete the upper connections. These slat components are separate from the welded plates beneath the steel posts.
The completed fence height is 72 inches, with 74-inch posts above the mounting surface, excluding caps. A three-inch ground gap remains below the fence. The nominal one-inch openings describe the spaces between rows, not the clearance underneath the panel.
Seven LINE packs supply the fourteen installed slats. Allow twenty-eight Base Connectors, twenty-six Stackable Connectors and two L Connectors for the infill. The kit share in Component Needs records the material requirement per section; combine the project requirements before purchasing complete hardware kits.
Count each support location once across connected fence panels and include the free ends. One independent bay needs two welded-base posts. Supply ground anchors separately for those bases; the LINE spacing hardware does not anchor the posts to the surface.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the seven LINE packs?
Each pack provides two steel slats with PVC end plugs, giving fourteen slats in total. The packs supply the infill rather than a complete assembled fence panel. Buy the posts and semi-privacy connection hardware separately.
Are Base Connectors the same as the post bases?
The twenty-eight Base Connectors belong to the slat assembly. Welded base plates belong to the steel post products. You supply the ground anchors for those plates. Component Needs lists the slat hardware separately from the posts.
How should I read the fractional hardware quantity?
It is this section's share of the semi-privacy kit, based on the installed connector counts. The quote combines the needs across the whole project before selecting complete sales packs. Count shared posts once and add the supports required at free ends.
