Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Is one inch the exact clear gap between rows?
One inch names the nominal spacing pattern. This layout has a calculated clear gap of about 1.06 inches. Keep the specified Base and Stackable Connectors when setting out the openings.
Why do nine slat packs supply more than the fence uses?
A pack holds two slats. This panel needs seventeen, so nine packs cover one bay with a single slat left over. The 8.5-pack figure records the material used, while the purchase for a bay on its own rounds up to nine.
Two matching bays need thirty-four slats, or seventeen packs in total. Add your panel counts before buying. Check the hardware share separately: each bay needs thirty-four Base Connectors, thirty-two Stackable Connectors and two L Connectors. The post count depends on which bays share a support.
Why does Component Needs list one post product?
One post per panel is the share for a connected run. Add a post at the free end. A separate section needs two posts. The 114-inch posts provide the specified 86-inch height above ground and 28-inch depth below.
