Seven LINE steel slats form this horizontal metal privacy fence in a nominal one-inch semi-privacy layout. Its nominal 1-inch-gap pattern gives the low panel open rows across a nominal 8 ft width. The three-foot fence height and separate two-inch ground clearance belong to this specific slat design. When comparing fence heights, keep each layout's own slat count and ground clearance.
The galvanized steel slats carry Private Black powder coating. Their protective finish helps resist corrosion and outdoor wear. LINE's straight rows create a modern horizontal appearance for outdoor spaces. The supporting posts are steel, with welded base plates for Surface Mount.
Seven slats use 3.5 two-slat packs of material. Total the slats for your fence project before rounding up to complete packs. Use the Semi-Privacy Hardware Kit for this seven-row pattern. Component Needs identifies the aluminum spacing parts and stainless steel L Connectors for this pattern.
Prepare each 74-inch base-plate post by trimming its top for the listed 38-inch finished height. Preserve the welded base and its holes. Ground anchors are customer supplied. For a continuous run, count compatible shared supports once and include the free ends when planning the post order.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is nominal about the one-inch spacing?
One inch names this LINE spacing pattern. The installed opening follows the matched connector assembly. It is separate from the two-inch gap beneath the lowest slat. Use this item's quantities and dimensions when setting out the fence panel.
How many slat packs should I buy for one section?
Four whole LINE packs contain eight slats. Install seven and keep one spare. Across several sections, total the required slats before rounding the purchase, rather than buying a spare for every bay. The posts and semi-privacy hardware remain separate products.
Which materials form the slats and mounting hardware?
The slats and posts are galvanized steel. Aluminum Base and Stackable Connectors position the infill, and stainless steel L Connectors finish the upper connections. An independent bay needs two welded-base posts. Buy their ground anchors separately.
