This Teak composite fence gate pairs two full-privacy leaves in a nominal 7 × 6 ft double assembly. Eleven horizontal board pieces fill each welded aluminum frame, giving twenty-two pieces across the pair.
Wood fibers and recycled plastic form the Teak composite, with a wood-grain surface that resists moisture, insects, rot and fading. Teak identifies the board color, while Private Black identifies the metal finish.
Purchase the frames, boards and two In-Ground steel post products separately. Add one mechanical combination lock for the active leaf and the outdoor handle set with drop rod for the inactive leaf. Assemble the selected infill on site.
Teak board faces need no regular painting, staining or sealing. Clean them with mild soap, water and a soft brush or cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals and abrasive tools. The composite fence gate options include other infill patterns and leaf formats.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Teak boards and covered metal gate parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Teak board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes. The combination lock and outdoor handle set are outside the periods listed above. Contact Modern Yard for the applicable separate warranty terms.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.
Email service@mymodernyard.com with purchase records, photos, product details and the issue. Expect a decision or next steps within 7–14 business days. Contact Modern Yard for full warranty terms.
Frequently asked questions
How does the full-privacy infill differ from the spaced version?
This gate has eleven joined pieces per leaf. The Teak double semi-privacy gate uses nine full pieces and a solid terminal strip in each frame. Its one-inch view gaps need separate spacers.
How many whole board packs cover this double gate?
Twenty-two original Teak boards equal a 5.5-pack material share. For this gate alone, six four-board packs supply twenty-four originals and leave two unused. Keep the listed two-frame quantity for the complete double assembly.
How do I plan the gate with adjoining composite fencing?
Include each fence panel and the double gate in a Teak gate-and-fence material estimate. Combine compatible Teak stock before rounding packs, and count shared supports once. Keep the specified gate post where a fixed section joins the gate.
