Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Teak boards and covered metal gate parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Teak board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes. The combination lock and outdoor handle set are outside the periods listed above. Contact Modern Yard for the applicable separate warranty terms.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Are all twenty installed pieces full boards?
Each leaf has nine full board pieces and one solid terminal strip. Across the pair, eighteen full pieces and two strips come from twenty original boards. Five four-board packs provide those originals for this gate alone.
Is the ground clearance part of the eight view gaps?
The eight one-inch gaps sit within each leaf's infill. The drawing gives a separate one-inch opening below the gate. The closed Teak double gate instead uses joined boards and its own stock requirement.
What supports belong in the complete gate order?
Use two 114-inch steel posts for the whole double assembly, with 74 inches above ground and 40 inches below. Add adjoining fence sections to your Teak double-gate planning quote. Count shared support locations once while retaining the required gate posts.
