These vertical composite fence panels use sixteen upright Charcoal pieces to close the board area. The nominal 8 ft width and 3 ft height create a low fence section with a wood-grain face. Full privacy describes the closed infill pattern; the section remains three feet high.
Charcoal composite material combines wood fibers and recycled plastic beneath a UV-protected outer wrap. The boards resist moisture, fading, termites and decay. Their surfaces need no regular painting, staining or sealing. Private Black galvanized steel posts and U rails form the fence system around the infill, with aluminum rail connectors.
Eight full-length boards supply the sixteen short pieces after cutting. Each four-board pack therefore contributes eight installed pieces to this layout. Review the vertical composite fencing board options when comparing composite fence panels by color and board direction.
For fence installation, use the vertical rail set and this panel's own dimensions. The drawing lists a 36-inch fence height, a ½-inch ground gap and 38 inches of post above ground. Split 114-inch post stock supplies the short supports, trimmed to their specified finished length. Count post locations across the run before buying stock and extra caps.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Charcoal boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Charcoal board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Claims must meet written terms. Normal use, color and coating claim conditions apply. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, we refund or replace defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price sets the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. We pay if the law requires it or Modern Yard agrees in writing to pay these costs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are eight boards enough for sixteen installed pieces?
Each full-length Charcoal board yields two short pieces for this three-foot panel. Two packs contain the eight original boards required. Component Needs distinguishes the purchased boards from the sixteen pieces placed between the rails. Taller composite fences have different cut plans and quantities.
How should I count split posts and extra caps?
Each short installed post uses half of a 114-inch stock post. One independent bay has two supports; connected bays share compatible posts. Splitting one stock post produces two short supports but supplies only one cap, so add one extra cap for that pair. For the complete project, buy caps only for the remaining shortfall after allowing for kit supplies and inventory.
What care do the Charcoal board faces need?
Wash the composite boards with mild soap, water and a soft brush or cloth. Avoid harsh cleaners and abrasive tools. The composite faces do not need regular paint, stain or sealer. This board-care routine applies to the infill; the posts and rail parts are separate metal components.
