This horizontal metal fence pairs twelve Private Black LINE slats with nominal one-inch openings. The nominal 8 × 5 ft panel leaves partial views between its steel rows. Their clean lines create a modern horizontal pattern for outdoor spaces.
The galvanized steel slats are powder coated to help resist corrosion and outdoor wear. They share their Private Black color with the steel posts. Aluminum Base and Stackable Connectors set the gaps; stainless steel L Connectors finish the upper connections. This fence system needs no separate horizontal rail set.
Fence height from ground level is 60 inches, including the nominal one-inch gap at the base. Posts extend 62 inches above ground, excluding caps, and 20 inches below. The nominal one-inch spaces between slats are a separate measurement.
Six packs provide the twelve slats. Order the posts and semi-privacy hardware as separate products, then count shared supports and free ends across the run. Compare the metal fence options when choosing between spaced and joined LINE panels.
Material selection differs between the 8 × 5 ft LINE fence panels. The half-inch pattern has 13 slats, 2 Base Connectors and 24 Stackable Connectors. This nominal one-inch pattern has 12 slats, 24 Base Connectors and 22 Stackable Connectors. Both need 2 L Connectors.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are these aluminum slats?
Galvanized steel forms the LINE slats and posts. Aluminum forms the spacing connectors; stainless steel forms the L Connectors. The slats are powder coated in Private Black.
What does one LINE pack supply for this fence?
Each LINE pack contains two steel slats and four PVC end plugs. Six packs supply this panel's twelve slats. Order posts and semi-privacy hardware separately.
An independent panel needs two posts; adjoining panels share one post at each connection. For example, two panels in a straight run with two free ends need three posts in total.
Which hardware quantities belong to the one-inch pattern?
Allow twenty-four Base Connectors, twenty-two Stackable Connectors and two L Connectors per section. Component Needs records a 0.4-set share of the semi-privacy kit. Combine the project requirements before buying complete kits; this share is not a loose partial-kit product.
