Four separately framed board groups create this Surface Mount composite fence. Nine Charcoal boards make up the nominal 6 × 6 ft section, with about 4¼-inch breaks between the groups.

Wood fibers and recycled plastic form the boards. Their wood grain texture gives this composite fencing a timber appearance. Charcoal has a UV-protected wrap that helps resist fading from sun exposure; its faces also resist moisture, termites and decay.

Aluminum rail pairs frame the groups. Private Black steel posts have welded bases, and you supply the ground anchors. Compare semi privacy fence patterns before selecting the separate board, rail and post products.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):

Structural defects in Charcoal boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
Covered Charcoal board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.

For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.

Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.

Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.

Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.

For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.

Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.

We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.
