Choose this corrugated metal double gate for a 7 ft fence connection. Eight vertical Private Black FireGuard panels fill two welded aluminum frames. One separate LINE crossbeam spans the pair above the moving leaves.
The gate stays nominally 7 ft wide and 6 ft high. The nominal width describes the paired gate; it does not locate the post centers. Use 87⅛ inches for the post centers and approximately 84 inches for the clear opening. Read these as separate layout measurements. Keep the 6 ft leaf height separate from the 7 ft fence height, too.
Plan this metal privacy gate as a complete two-leaf layout. It needs two 114-inch steel posts, two frames, the eight-panel infill, a combination lock and an outdoor handle set with a drop rod. Buy the LINE stock and its hardware separately. The taller posts and overhead beam belong to this Crossbeam version.
Compare the corrugated metal fence guide for the fixed sections beside the gate. Use the gate's own quantities rather than a fence section's list. Component Needs shows each product's material share. The final order must account for whole sales packs and usable stock across the project.

- Eight vertical FireGuard panels form the Private Black full-privacy infill across both leaves. Two welded aluminum frames hold the panels; order the frames and panel packs as separate products.
- The panels, posts and crossbeam use powder-coated galvanized steel. The frames and Base Connectors use powder-coated aluminum; Specifications lists the separate stainless steel grades for the lock, handles, L Connectors and screws.
- One LINE crossbeam spans the complete double gate, using half a two-slat pack. The separate half-set hardware share covers two Base Connectors, two L Connectors and eight fixing screws.
- Two In-Ground posts support this 7 ft fence connection, with 86 inches above ground and 28 inches below from each full 114-inch post. Keep that post layout with this version while the moving leaves remain nominally 6 ft high.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in covered metal gate parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes. The combination lock and outdoor handle set are outside the periods listed above. Contact Modern Yard for the applicable separate warranty terms.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently asked questions
How does this double gate fit beside a 7 ft fence?
Use this Crossbeam version's post and opening dimensions. The gate has two leaves with a nominal combined width of 7 ft. The leaves remain 6 ft high; a 7 ft fence run does not change that leaf height. One crossbeam sits above the pair. Its top is 2 inches below the post top. That beam belongs to the fixed overhead layout, rather than either moving leaf.
The post centers are 87⅛ inches apart, and the clear opening between the posts is approximately 84 inches. Each steel post stands 86 inches above ground with 28 inches below, using its full 114-inch length. Keep the 1-inch gap below the gate and the listed hinge positions in your layout. The concrete footing width is 12 inches min. Check these figures together before choosing the post locations. Follow this gate's dimensions rather than the ordinary version without a crossbeam.
Component Needs lists two full posts for the pair, rather than two per leaf. Keep that listed quantity at two. The quote rule checks any shared post against the actual fence-and-gate connection for the project. That project check does not change this gate's post stock, above-ground height or embedment.
What do eight panels and 8/3 packs mean for the order?
Eight is the total number of FireGuard panels across the two leaves. That count does not mean eight panels for each leaf or eight retail packs. A FireGuard sales pack contains three panels, so this double gate's material share is 8/3 packs. Use the installed panel count to read the layout. Use the pack share when planning stock for the order. Combine the actual needs for the gate and fixed fence sections before deciding how many whole packs to buy.
The panel packs do not replace the other products. This double gate also needs two welded frames and two steel posts. The combination lock and outdoor handle set with drop rod are separate entries. The LINE stock and crossbeam hardware are separate, too. Keep the panel count, frame count and beam count distinct: eight panels and two leaves still use one overhead beam. The quantities in Component Needs cover the complete double gate, not a separate list for each half.
For this gate alone, two three-panel packs supply only six panels. Three packs supply nine panels, one more than the eight installed panels. The figures show material use, not a final shopping list. This example explains the retail pack count; it does not mean rounding each gate row on its own. For a combined fence-and-gate order, check all panel needs and usable stock before buying whole packs.
Why are the LINE stock and crossbeam hardware separate items?
The corrugated panels fill the two gate frames. They do not supply the overhead crossbeam. Cut that beam from separate LINE stock. A LINE sales pack contains two stock slats; this gate uses one stock slat for one beam, so the material share is 0.5 pack. That share does not create a smaller retail pack. Plan whole-pack purchases and usable stock for the complete project rather than ordering each fraction on its own.
The crossbeam also needs its half-set hardware share: two Base Connectors, two L Connectors and eight fixing screws. This is the beam's hardware, not a complete gate kit. The beam uses no EVA strip. Check which parts each product supplies before combining hardware shares across a fence run. The order must account for the actual connector and screw needs and any usable stock. Do not simply add the half-set figures and round the sum; the project needs the listed parts.
Match each material to its named part. The Base Connectors use powder-coated aluminum, while the L Connectors use 201 stainless steel. The lock and outdoor handles with drop rod use 304 stainless steel. Their sales entries remain separate from the beam kit. Read the screw grades in Parts and Materials rather than assigning one grade to all fasteners.
