Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Charcoal boards and covered metal gate parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Charcoal board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.

Frequently asked questions
Does the gate arrive with its board infill assembled?
This layout needs on-site assembly. Buy the welded frame, Charcoal boards and steel posts as separate products. Six original boards supply the upright pieces. Two four-board packs cover this gate alone and leave two original boards unused.
What post depth belongs to this small gate?
The drawing specifies 24 inches below ground and 45 inches above, excluding caps. Use two 98-inch stock posts, processed for this gate. The shorter embedment exception for approved low fence sections does not apply here.
Does full privacy remove the ground clearance?
Full privacy describes the joined upright board face. A separate 1½-inch gap remains below the gate. Follow the listed 43¼-inch gate height and the engineering opening dimensions when placing the leaf.
