Teak wood-grain boards sit in four distinct rail pairs on this horizontal composite fence. About 4 inches of open space divide the rows across a nominal 6 × 3.5 ft panel.
The wood plastic composite core blends wood fibers and recycled plastic. The fence system combines aluminum rails with Private Black steel posts for In-Ground support. Explore the horizontal composite fence overview to compare open and joined composite fence panels.

Limited warranty periods (residential / commercial use):
- Structural defects in Teak boards and covered metal fence parts: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Covered Teak board color changes: up to 25 / 10 years.
- Coastal metal coating defects: up to 5 / 3 years.
- Non-coastal metal coating defects: up to 15 / 10 years.
- Covered metal finish fading, all locations: up to 8 / 5 years.
For metal coating coverage, use the nearest shoreline of an ocean, sea or saltwater bay. Salt or brackish tidal estuaries also count. Measure in a straight line from the installed part. A distance of 10 miles or less is coastal; farther away is non-coastal.
Qualifying defects under normal use must meet the written terms, including color and coating claim conditions. Metal coverage applies only to covered parts and eligible factory finishes.
Normal airborne coastal salt and salt spray alone do not exclude qualifying coating claims. The metal warranty excludes direct saltwater immersion or splash damage.
Remaining coverage transfers with property ownership. Products must stay at the original site. Keep records of the products and original purchase date. Transfer or replacement does not restart coverage.
For approved claims, Modern Yard refunds or replaces defective boards or parts. The original net purchase price determines the amount. The amount drops over time under the warranty schedule.
Metal coating compensation is 100% in the term’s first half, 50% in the second. Other claims follow separate schedules.
We do not pay for labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, freight or shipping. This changes if required by law or if Modern Yard expressly agrees in writing.
Email service@mymodernyard.com with purchase records, photos, product details and the issue. Expect a decision or next steps within 7–14 business days. Contact Modern Yard for full warranty terms.
Frequently Asked Questions
What changes from the closed Teak layout?
The seven-board Teak full-privacy configuration uses one rail set. Here, four boards each take a rail pair, with approximately 4-inch openings between rows.
Why does this design need four rail sets?
Each set supplies the top and bottom rails for one Teak board.
How should I clean the Teak infill?
Clean the Teak faces with mild soap and water and a soft brush or cloth. Regular painting or staining is unnecessary for these composite boards.
